i had SO much fun shooting with the amazing team bri put together for this series. here are a few pics that highlight my hair/makeup, and you can click through to see the rest (and get links to the amazing stylist, photographer, art director and copy writer!) details on how to get the look below!
hair: to create this simple, classic yet modern style, i teased bri’s hair at the root for volume from the crown. i always use hairspray when backcombing to hold the structure.
i divided her hair into 2 sections, as if putting her hair half up, and secured the top half with a clip while i was working with the bottom. simply twist the bottom section, place and secure with bobby pins. create a deep part in the front and use a bristle brush to (gently! you don’t want to undo your backcombing!) smooth hair back. use a rattail comb to pull up at the back for volume. twist this section as you did before around the bottom and secure with bobby pins. we then adorned her hair with the amazing crystal swirl brooch bobbi by ban.do.
makeup: i used the smashbox blue eyes palette to create a natural eye and defined with black slightly winged liner. finish with false lashes.
stay tuned for more simple hair/makeup/beauty tutorials in the weeks to come! we’ve got some exciting things cooking!
